9.81 miles in 1:13:20, 7:28/mi, HR 157.  30 minute warmup, 10 x :20 Strides with 1:00 rest, 30 minute cooldown.

Ran on the fast end of easy with 10 sets of Strides in the middle over various terrain.  First half of the Strides felt nice and easy with good form seeming to flow effortlessly.  Last half they seemed to get harder and I had to focus on staying relaxed and in good form.  Warmup and cooldown parts were both an a somewhat aggressive pace. 

This week is a "recovery" week with a race at the end so mileage is going to be lighter than normal.  I'm feeling off.....runs are harder than they should feel and the mysterious ache syndrome is in full effect.  Hope this goes away before Sunday.

Thanks, I'm running a HM. It'll be a good test of racing with more stress than normal as Dianna goes out of town tomorrow (Mom's weekend at WSU) so I'll have to make the 300+ mile round trip twice....once Saturday for the packet pickup and then again early Sunday for the 8:30 am start. Good training for next month's marathon where I recently found out I'll be out of town for work the two weeks immediately prior, flying back into town the Friday before Sunday's race. Waaaaa!

Holy cow drivingman, where are you racing? I would be tempted to leave the farm to its own devices and just stay overnight.

Good luck for your half marathon on Sunday. Take it easy the next couple of days Dale, your mileage may be a bit lighter this week but your intensity so far this month has been pretty hard every day. A recovery run at 8 min pace or over wouldn't go amiss.

It's the Nature's Path Marathon/Half-Marathon on Whidbey Island, WA, north of Seattle. It was either that or a HM in a town half as close that three people would've probably shown up for and I needed a bit more competition.

I'm hoping to run a 1:24 or better. I am taking it easier today and tomorrow and will try to keep the intensity light. I don't see myself running more than 10 miles combined over the next 2 days.
